Social media and privacy? What is the right way of regulating social media?

Social media are the platforms, precisely applications, and websites that use the internet and electronic gadgets to bring people together and interact with each other without physically being together. Such interactions lead to the sharing of ideas, knowledge, opinions and definitely the awareness about recent trends and events. Privacy, a fundamental right refers to a state of being free from public attention. Privacy and internet have an inverse relation, before the invention of internet which is basically the driving force of social media, the only means to know about a person’s well being were phone calls, letters and meeting in person.  Now the tables have turned, a person does that using social media, no interaction is required. People are posting their every activity on social media eating a pizza, attending a marriage, studying, everything is on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and WhatsApp. So, as the internet and hence social media penetrates the masses, the exten...

Oppo and Vivo: The Truth

Oppo and Vivo are twins indeed!. It is so because they have the same parent company known as BBK Electronics. They both are known for their camera quality [the selfies] and that’s it! Everything else is just average. Hence, they’re overpriced. But some of their flagships are worth buying like Vivo NEX, Oppo Find X, Oppo K1 and similar phones which have unveiled some unique features. Actually, Oppo and Vivo phones are used for feature testing. They offer new and innovative technologies to the users, and the most popular of them gets incorporated into their elder sister aka One Plus. Yes, you read it right, One Plus is their sister company and offers one of the best smartphones in the market which are definitely worth the price. One Plus phones are worth the price but Oppo and Vivo aren’t. Recently, Oppo had a child and it is known the RealMe , but now it is a separate brand under the same parent i.e. BBK Electronics. The phones offered under this brand are de...

Galaxy M30: An upcoming hero

Samsung has recently unveiled its new series of Smartphones, the Galaxy M series for under 15000 INR price range. As of now only M10 and M20 have entered into the market with pretty competitive features!. But the recent leaks of the new member in the family Galaxy M30 has caused a maelstrom in the market. Source: Best Price Comparison Shopping Site in India - Pricekart.com As we can see the specifications are as follows: Triple Camera [ 16MP (FC) / 13+5+5 MP (RC) ] Infinity V notch AMOLED display Type C port. And probably a battery of 5000 mAh. In my opinion finally, Samsung has started taking middle-class Indian consumers seriously. The already present J series is not worth the money, a consumer can easily get a better one from Redmi, ASUS, RealMe etc. But if this phone will come under 15000 INR, then it can do wonders in the market and challenge the top brands in this section.

Keep Documents and Notes On the GO

I like to keep things as much light as possible and hence I try to keep everything on my phone. Over the time of my student life, I have tried and tested many applications to keep notes on my phone but the best ones are: Google Keep : Developed by Google itself, it is really an advantageous app. I use it to synchronize my bookmarks and notes on my phone and my laptop. It is available as an extension for Chrome for PC and as an application on Android. CamScanner : This app is available for free and with in-app purchases. I use it to scan pages into e-documents and save them as PDF. There are several other apps analogous to CamScanner like: Adobe Scan Office Lens Google Drive inbuilt scanner These apps are pretty good with their features but the convenience is not at-par when compared to CamScanner. "Folding phones", Why they are the future?

Folding phones are the future that we can’t avoid, they are inevitable. Increasing the display size is the current focus of all the Smartphone brands as we can observe past trends. The screens evolved like this: Now Nubia and other brands like Meizu have developed dual screen phones: I like bigger screens but I don’t like bigger phones, hence I’d like a folding smartphone. It’d be easy to have a bigger display at the space of one. Better to watch movies and videos. Play games. Drawing, digital designing, office stuff and pretty much would get easier. Hence, folding phones are the next step in Smartphone evolution.

MIUI, Better or Not?

MIUI  is the custom skin used by  Xiaomi  on top of the original stock Android. Basically, it is the  User Interface  designed by Xiaomi for their smartphones, which segregates them from the other smartphone companies. Like Xiaomi, other manufacturers have their own custom skins such as: Honor: EMUI Oppo: Color OS Vivo: Funtouch OS OnePlus: Oxygen OS Lenovo: Vibe UI and several other used by the Chinese iPhone copiers. So the basic use of MIUI on Xiaomi devices it to bring several features which Stock Android lacks: Themes:  MIUI comes with a plethora of themes and hence you can give your phone a new soul whenever you want!. AppLock:  MIUI comes with an inbuilt app-lock, which is absent in Stock Android. Dual apps:  In Xiaomi phones you can get two accounts for several apps, but in stock Android, you’ll have to install a 3rd party software. So it actually depends on the user, if you’re a fan of customizing yo...
