Can China be removed from United Nations Security Council?

If India can replace China in UNSC then it would be a major development in geopolitics both for Asia and the world.

To do such a thing, China needs to be removed from UNSC, but can it be done?
Well, nothing has been mentioned about removing the members (permanent and non-permanent) of UNSC in the UN charter.

Thus, the legal ways to remove China are:
  1. Amendment in Chapter 18th of the UN Charter, with 2/3 vote of General Assembly and all permanent members of UNSC, to install a provision to remove a member of UNSC
It is obvious that China will veto such a provision until it threatens his membership.
  2. As per article 6 of the UN Charter, if any member nation is violating the principles consistently then that nation can be removed from the UNGA and thus automatically from the UNSC if it is a member.
Again the caveat here is that it requires the recommendation of UNSC, of which China is a member and obviously it won’t help in its own removal.
This is not a legal method but according to it if all nations become anti-China and adamant for its removal then it might be removed. In the present scenario, several nations like Iran, Pakistan, Russia etc. are definitely not going to oppose China.

Thus, China’s removal in the next few decades is impossible.
